On April 18, the Indiana University Kokomo men’s golf team had their conference meet in Florence, Indiana. The Cougars took home second place in the 2023 River States Conference Championship. Their team total was 946 with an excellent 303 in the third and final round propelling them from 3rd place into 2nd 

Junior Corbin Robison, sophomore Drew Wagner, and senior Harley Pugh all snuck into the top ten which was good enough for All-River States Conference second-team honors. Robison finished in a tie for 8th place while Wagner and Pugh tied for 9th place. After the first two rounds, the Cougars found themselves in 3rd place, but thanks to excellent play in the final round, they were able to close the gap and capture 2nd place.  

Robison scored a 73 in the final round, the best for the program in the week of play. Robison’s total hit 235 and he just got better as play continued with his rounds scored as follows: 83-80-73.  

Wagner and Pugh both snagged a 74 in the final round and totals of 236. Wagner’s first two rounds were 81s while Pugh put down a 78 and 84.  

Freshmen Hayden Williamson was the four-man for the Cougars, his scores were 79-78-82 with a total score of 239 placing him in a tie for 13th place. Sophomore Daniel Kasten finished 36th with rounds of 83-87-85 totaling 255.
